One very interesting building
delta complex And it's in Brooklyn, NY of all places. This one is so far out there I think I'll just let the article speak for itself. Interesting, too, is their decision not to seek LEED certification because of the price tag on that.

Taco Banner

Musings
peel and stick solarAnother fine tale from the irrepressible Martin Holladay. Thanks to subscriber Robert O'Brien for sharing.
A lobster lesson
lobster Whatever business you're in, I'll bet this short article from the Harvard Business Review makes you stop and think. At least I hope it does.
A good video
buildings And worth the time to watch it. It compares Passive House construction in Europe to retrofit Passive House construction in New York City. Love to hear your thoughts. Here's the link.
Delicious truckmanship!
truck with wind turbine rotator This one has nothing to do with heating, unless you're living in Denmark and heating with electricity. I was just so impressed with the driving skills of anyone who can transport such a mammoth object over such a long distance. Ah, the things we rarely consider!
Willie the Gasman
explosion damage I think the best line in this article is, "The exact cause of the explosion remains unclear, but there have apparently long been problems with the gas heating system." Willie wasn't as handy as he thought he was.
Somerville Steaming!
skull and cross bones Marianne and I will be in beautiful Somerville, MA on October 22 with the Dead Men's Steam Night School. Join us!
