I kept waiting for the punchline as I read this article from Australia, but it never arrived. Would you send your kid to a school where they vented the heater into the classroom? Seems like that's the norm in Australia.

Why, when I was a boy!
We walked miles uphill to school. Both ways! That's why I love this story about the teacher in Southwest England who turned off the radiators as a fun eco experiment with his students. As you'll see, some were up in arms over his barbaric act of allowing such unbearable cold to take over the classroom. Being curious (and having way too much time on my hands), I checked the local temperature for that day. It was 55 degrees outside. Oh, the horror!
