Old data can hurt
That's what HVAC engineers will be working with when it comes to evaluating American commercial buildings. Seems a shame, but such is the political climate these days. Here's the story.

And while that's going on
We also have this going on. Makes you wonder whether anyone is paying attention and connecting the dots, doesn't it?

Just for fun
And in the interest of smart marketing, Biasi, the British manufacturer of some mighty fine radiators, is getting the kids involved in a competition. I think this is brilliant. What do you think?

Nothing to do with heating
But I thought this was a fascinating mix of technology. I drive a Ford Escape, and it has their Sync technology. My car talks to me and I cancelled the satellite radio because Sync lets me play Internet radio through my iPhone, which works even in tunnels. Watch satellite radio go the way of CDs before long. Blink and things change these days, but we're still fixing those old boilers!

Speaking of cars
Check out what Volkswagen and Audi are up to in Germany. Marketers are looking at their businesses in brand-new ways and I think it's important that we pay attention to stuff like this. Years ago, the coal people thought they were in the business of selling coal, rather than in the business of keeping people warm. That's why it was so easy for the oil companies to put them out of business.

Get a virus
and power your house with it! Well, it's a bit more complicated than that, but take a look at what's going on behind the scenes in the solar world right now. And, yes, it's coming out of MIT. Again!

Burn, baby, burn!
A while ago, I told you about the controversy surrounding the suggestion (in the U.K.) that the waste heat from a local crematorium go to warm a nearby swimming pool. Hey, might as well go out with a splash, right? Well, here's the latest on that situation. They won an award!

Study worthy?
Not sure if this study was worth whatever it costs to do it, but the folks in New Zealand thought it was, so I wanted to share it with you. Not too hot in those attics after all.
