The 10 ways to increase a home's value
homeCheck out the lists in this article and notice where replacing the boiler or furnace comes in. Then scroll a bit to what homeowners are actually doing. Scroll further and see the return on that new boiler or furnace. Something's missing between what the heating professionals are telling folks and what they're hearing.

Water thief?
showerheadI got a kick out of this question, but I really giggled at some of the answers. It's a good brainteaser for you. Give it some thought and let me know what you come up with. My solution is sinister.
A very cool story
house in iceI stumbled onto this one and thought you'd enjoy it as much as I did. It's the opposite of heating, but just as delicious. Ah, history! We just keep making more of it.

And a cool chair!
office chairI don't even know if this thing works (and neither are the inventors), but I want one. Now please make one for my car.
Solar leaders
If you think the Chinese are backward in their manufacturing capabilities, take a look at their solar PV capabilities in this video. Interesting comments in there about how this affects jobs beyond China.
And memories on tour
white house solar panelRemember when President Reagan had President Carter's solar panels removed from the White House? Well one of those panels is on tour. Funny how things work out, isn't it?

Steam Radiators
MIT does it again
These people continue to amaze (and intimidate) me. Look at what they just came up with to clean oil spills. Wherever there is a problem, someone always seems to find a new business. I'm inspired!
Another reason to love Paris
Paris metroAs if we needed one. Take a look at this article about how they're planning to capture the heat from the people and the trains moving through the Paris metro system and use it to heat a public housing project. I love stuff like this.
Doomed flight
solar probeThis article has nothing to do with heating, unless you count what's going to happen to the space probe. I wonder if it would be any better if NASA launched at night. Hmm.

Hug your kids!
