Save a Rosenfeld!
I like this story because the idea honors a modest old man and gives a cool name to something most of us never consider. Ah, California!

Speaking of saving
This is a provocative article. When it comes to rebates for solar and whatnot, are the poor folks subsidizing the wealthy? Sure glad I'm not a politician.

Eh?
The U.S. may have lost that final hockey game but it appears we're kicking Canada's butt when it comes to spending big bucks on energy efficiency. Check it out here.

A matter of degrees
I liked this article. It made me think a lot about the folks who do stuff like this for a living. Not something I would do for a living, but fascinating nevertheless. Lower your fuel bills with heater bees? Hmm.

More from M.I.T.
The things that come out of these people's heads. I'm thinking about what I'll have for dinner; they're thinking about stuff like this. Hmm, maybe meatloaf?

A work in progress
Green building, that is. Thanks to my friend, John Starcher, for giving me a heads-up on this article from CNNMoney. It seems that the assessors haven't yet caught up with the value of green technology going into new homes, so the builders are opting for the cheaper green stuff, which leaves them with more sales pitch than substance.

More district heating on its way to the U.K.
The U.K. has been Europe's largest buyer of boilers (particularly condensing boilers) in recent years. I wonder how this new ruling will affect their boiler business. Stay tuned.

And last but certainly not least,
the Home and Garden question of the week. Where can I buy carbon monoxide? I especially like Joe Banana's answer.
