Good question posed here on the Wall with some fine answers from experienced pros.

Burj Khalifa

As the world's tallest building opens for business in Dubai, I'd like to share with you this series of videos that tell its story, as well as the story of what came before in building technology that made such an incredible building possible. You'll find it in five parts on YouTube, and here's a link to the first part. I hope you enjoy this program as much as I did.
Ignitable tap water
Here's something you don't see everyday. This disabled vet is able to light his tap water on fire. Obviously, something's very wrong and he's having a problem getting attention, but I'm wondering if he's able to heat his heat his house with this stuff. My friend, Moses, who brought this one to my attention, also pointed out that it lends new meaning to the term, "instant hot water."
Heat the people
train station utica
Subscriber, Tom Riso, has a fine eye for detail, especially when it comes to things related to engineering. He shared this article with me and noted the section about warming the people, rather than the building. The Dead Men had it right years ago, and I think it's wonderful that this grand old building is still with us. Thanks, Tom!
Trash or precious natural resource?
I love the clever argument this guy is making for the heaps of whatever that is in his yard. Ah, the times in which we live!
A little nudge from Sweden
stokes family
The Scandanavians are at the head of the pack when it comes to conserving energy, and now the Swedes are trying an experiment here to see if they can coax some Americans to follow more closely. Should be interesting.

Have you visited the Green section at HeatingHelp.com lately? Lots of great articles, links, blogs and more there. Check it out.

old system turkey
My friend, Mike, just spent a lot of time in Turkey, exploring and learing and he posted this on the Wall. Mike is one of the most interesting people I've ever met and I wanted to share this post with you because the photos are terrific and his comments are wonderful. Enjoy.

Hug your kids.

Dan
