District heating in Denmark
Here's a new series that I just added to the Videos section of HeatingHelp.com. Great stuff and so well done. Enjoy!

20,000 new green jobs
And they're all going to be in Singapore. Very ambitious and I like the way they're using the malls to promote this. Check out the video.

Meanwhile, in Finland
First, turn an old WWII bomb shelter into a data center, and then use the heat from that data center to warm about 500 homes. Waste not, want not.
|
Go Irish!
Nice use of the waste heat coming out of Notre Dame's data center. My daughter, Kelly, is a Domer and I was proud to see this, having sent N.D. as much money as I did during those four years. Now if they could just do something about that football team.

Maybe the plans were wrinkled?
This one had me rolling on the floor. Check it out and, oh, watch where you drill.

For the engineer in you
One very remarkable power plant. Stuff like this makes my head swim.

Cash for Guzzlers
There's a proposed plan in the U.K. right now to pay folks with the least-efficient boilers 400 toward the purchase of a more-efficient model. I love the way they refer to this a "A scrappage scheme." Use that term in the U.S. and everyone will be running the other way. Isn't language wonderful?
|
Who says CO is bad for you?
Turns out carbon monoxide has a good side to it. Check it out here, but also keep checking those boilers and furnaces. Not a day goes by that I don't learn something knew.

Another fine reason to drink beer
Save the cans and heat your house! That's what Jim Brewer (good name for this project, eh?) of Missoula, Montana is doing. I like this guy.
