A reasoned way to look at buildings
A few weeks ago, New York's Mayor Bloomberg backed off his plan to mandate 22,000 NYC buildings to improve energy efficiency. His plan had called for inspections, followed by mandatory improvements if the inspection proved that the improvements would save a specific amount of energy. Too much opposition from the real-estate community forced the mayor to back down. This author suggests another approach, which seems to make more sense in today's economy.
