Flood Recovery Project
The Monroe County Long Term Recovery Committee (MCLTRC), a project of United Way,  provides support and resources to those still affected by the severe storms and flooding of 2008. The committee - consisting of nonprofit, government, faith and business leaders - has worked with more than 460 area residents to rebuild homes and restore lives.

The MCLTRC seeks to address the overall health and well being of each individual and family. The committee is able to achieve this goal through the 2008 Indiana Natural Disaster Fund, established with a generous grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to the Indiana Association of United Ways.

Birth-to-Five Coalition
In partnership with the Community Foundation, the Birth-to-Five Coalition will focus community energies on the value of early childhood development. Research shows that positive early experiences can lead to an increased success in school, workforce readiness, and community engagement.
