Texas Pool on the Creek
August 2009 Special Events & News
Party GirlsStewardship is a theme celebrated at the Texas Pool with all of the generosity and support of the Lifeguard staff, the all-volunteer BOD Squad, the General Membership and other super supporters very much appreciated and integral to the future of the Texas Pool. Like the rest of America, your volunteer Board of Directors must balance the Texas Pool budget and utilize fewer resources wisely. Lifeguard to swimmer ratios and staffing have been adjusted accordingly and we've scheduled some exciting fundraising events, and easier payment options for the future.  Join us August 22nd at the Great General Membership Meeting to share ideas, offer feedback, and vote on important Texas Pool issues. As we savor the beauty of nature basking in the glorious sunshine of a Texas summertime, we come together as a community to reach out, greet one another, and share the joys and jobs of a Texas Pool Staycation in this grand vacation of life.
I'll see y'all at the Texas Pool.

Facilities Update
Building: The front of our Texas Pool Building was damaged when an 18 wheeler snagged and took out our phone cable....twice in 1 week. One of our lifeguard's car was sideswiped too. All this due to construction at the nearby elementary school. We're getting estimates now on repairs.
Chemicals: The Texas Pool received a clean bill of health from the City of Plano upon inspection. Chlorine levels are maintained according to city code/Texas Pool protocol. The water is a clear, Texas Pool blue....come on in!

This little froggy was rescued swimming in the depths of the Texas Pool Deep End. The lifeguards named him "Swimmy" before he was released into the wilds of the Texas Pool Creek area.
