| Endless Summer 2009
A warm, moist, southern breeze carries springtime to Texas as the last remnants of winter are shaken off, packed up, and forgotten. I go in search of the pool bag with its assortment of sunscreens, floaties, beach towels, and swimsuits. Memories of summers past converge to fire up the mental BBQ grill; I can almost taste those Texas Pool Memorial Day celebration hot dogs and watermelon. It's a simple vision of basking in the warm sunlight, a peaceful rush of splashing water, youthful music softly pulsing in the background that transports me from today's tough days to the Texas Pool where every day is a vacation away. In my heart it's an endless summer. So get your calendar out, start crossing off the days till that Staycation/Vacation begins. And in the meantime grab your gear and come on out May 2nd in support of our big Spring Clean Event. And I'll see y'all at the Texas Pool.

The Dostalik Family
Bill and Jennifer and their children, Maggie, Mary Grace, John Paul, Anna, Tessie, and AJ have been members of the Texas Pool since 2001! They are a Catholic homeschooling family with a lot of different interests. Bill is an avid OU Sooner fan, the kids activities include Irish dancing, soccer, drama and music. Jennifer is beginning to enjoy a bit of perennial gardening. Their six children have grown up at the Pool and summers at the Texas pool are a family tradition. The kids each love the Pool for many reasons. Maggie (13) enjoys swimming in the deep end. Mary Grace (11) has fun doing tricks off the diving board. John Paul (9) lives for going down the big slide over and over again! Tessie (4) loves swimming to the island and jumping off into the water! AJ (2) enjoyed playing with water toys in the kiddie pool area last year. This summer he should be able to conquer the toddler slide. The Texas Pool has been the site of many happy summer birthday celebrations over the years, as well. We look forward to another year of fun in the sun with our neighbors. Come join us! |
