Karen Vosen, you are PURE GOLD!

The Pure Gold program provides an opportunity to recognize Montana State University faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends for their contributions to the university.

Karen Vosen was nominated for the Pure Gold award by two students, Bryan Hicks and Mary Serrato.

The following is from the nomination form:  "Karen is an outstanding eLearning staff professional, mostly by just being who she is. Her dedication to people, especially students and fellow staff members, is exceptional. Above all, her devotion to helping and encouraging others, with her supportive and caring attitude, demonstrates true leadership.

"When Karen is at her desk, there is a unique atmosphere conducive to enjoying being in college around productive, energetic individuals. The D2L education program requires that sometimes students need extra help. She understands the importance of this fundamental task, making this an area where her efforts really shine. The approach she uses naturally brings out the good in people. In other words, she is a terrific person, highly regarded and appreciated. This is a prime example of why the general learning environment on the Great Falls College campus is always very positive."

The Sweet Grass Hills possess special significance to the Blackfeet Indians and to other tribes. According to legend, the creator Napi fashioned the hills in the dim past out of rocks left over from the formation of the Rocky Mountains. Napi liked his creation so much that the hills became a favored resting place for the old trickster. (Excerpt from http://www.browningmontana.com/sweetgrass.html)
