New Campus Corps Leader

Please Welcome TC Knutson!

MSU - Great Falls is excited to welcome TC Knutson as our Campus Corps Leader for this year. His office is located Student Central. This year, he will be working to help bring several projects to fruition such as:  creating a food pantry on campus, continuing to work on the veteran's center and other support for veterans, and working with the Red Cross on disaster response. In addition, he will be working on ways to inform the campus of service opportunities available.

TC is a graduate of UM - Western and worked with campus corps there. He has a ton of energy and enthusiasm for campus corps and is happy to give anyone information. You will see him around campus getting the word out about these exciting projects. Please stop by and welcome him to campus.

ACLU Banned Books Presentation

 banned book

We are pleased to announce that Amy Cannata, Montana ACLU Representative, will visit our campus on Monday, September 26th to present "Too Dangerous for the Big Sky? Banned Books in Montana".

Almost since Montana's beginnings there have been people trying to control what you and I are able to read. The presentation will cover events from the mining's heyday in Butte, through the Sedition Act of World War I and on to modern challenges in schools and public libraries, books have been targeted for being too violent, too insulting, too sexy or just plain dangerous.

The program will be held in Heritage Hall from 12:00-1:00pm.  We encourage students, faculty, staff, classes and the general public to join us in this free event.  Please feel free to bring a sack lunch. Beverages will be provided by the Weaver Library. All attendees will be given a free copy of the "Too Dangerous for the Big Sky?" poster.  For more information, contact:  Kirsten Bryson.
