Nursing Pinning Ceremony Update Submitted by Cheryll AltI just got off the phone with a representative from Senator Testers scheduling office in Great Falls, and the Senator has accepted the nursing student's invitation to come to their pinning ceremony on July 17th, in Heritage Hall, at 10 am. The students and I have worked on this possibility since fall semester. The Senator's aides were interested in the REACH program when they were here last year, and talked with Joe, Greg, and I concerning health science programs. Following up with these ladies was done on behalf of the students. Participation in the Pinning Ceremony is by invitation. |
| Students of the Year Celebrated
Students of the Year from each Division are featured on the electronic billboard at Marketplace. Rhonda Kueffler photographed the students and designed the slides. Lanni Klasner negotiated with the billboard vendor and has the ability to change our images weekly or as needed. You will notice other billboard designs for the College in that location as well. |
| Reception for Student Artists
You are invited to the 'Kid' Russell Art Reception on Thursday, May 13 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM in the MSU - Great Falls Atrium area. The event will honor students who participated in the Great Falls high school art competition at the CM Russell Art Auction in March. Musician, Artist, and MSU - Great Falls Adjunct Faculty, Chuck Fulcher, will provide entertainment. |
A Five Week Adventure Across Australia
Come share the adventures of Tammy Filliater and Roger Peffer, two MSUGF science instructors, as they discuss their travels across Australia during the summer of 2009. They will share their adventures of snorkeling with whales, scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef, hiking remote "outback" trails in Australia, and Tasmania while visiting spectacular parks and wilderness areas. It will include close encounters of the whale kind, crocodiles and snakes, Aboriginal art and culture, culinary delights, and marsupial adventures with wallaby, possum and koala! The presentation will include photos and discussion of Australian climate, parks, wildlife and culture. They will also discuss "travel on the cheap"- planning trips without expensive guides and tours which will enable you to cut thousands of dollars off the cost of adventure travel. Join them on May 19th from 7-9 PM in Heritage Hall at MSU Great Falls College of Technology.

| Student Central Summer Hours
Submitted by Judy Hay
I just wanted to let you know that Student Central begins summer hours on Monday, May 10. This means that we will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. weekdays. Our staff flex their hours such that some of them will be here four days for 10 hours, enabling them to have 3 days off each week, and for our offices to be open expanded hours for customer service. Everyone wins! |
