Book Buy Back Record
Submitted by Ed Binkley
The Bookstore has set another record. Their Fall book buyback, which ended on Dec 28, put over $78,500 back in students' hands! Bookstore Manager, Steve Halsted's goal to hit $100,000 wasn't quite realized, but it is a new record. We just might see $100,000 in the Spring buyback. |

College in a Day
The 11th Annual College in a Day (CIAD) was a huge success. We hosted about 300 students from 20 area high schools. This event is such a great opportunity for us to showcase our campus, programs, and faculty members to high school students and their counselors. Below is just one example of how CIAD impacts the students who attend. Note to Marilyn Besich from Natalie Nefzger:
Hi Marilyn, I thought I would share a quick story with you. Jacob Gosner attended your CIAD session. He loved it and thought you were the best, gave great advice, and you were funny! He called Thursday after school, and wanted to meet today (Friday) to learn how to become a student here. He brought his mom and it was apparent that they had visited about CIAD and it really changed his whole outlook on choosing a college. Thanks, Marilyn. You made my job so easy. He's really excited. I have another prospect I'm meeting with on Monday that attended your session. Way to go! Thanks again to everyone who contribute to the success of the 11th Annual College in a Day. | |
