National Tutoring Week
Submitted by Delisa Clampitt
National Tutoring Week is celebrated the first week of October each year.  This week is designated to recognizing tutors and their dedication to students.  The Learning Center will be celebrating this year in several ways.  All week, there will be a "Wall of Thanks" posted outside of the Learning Center that will allow you to write a personal note to the staff.  On Wednesday, there will be an Open House and coffee will be provided by the Cottage Bookstore. Door prize drawings will be held all week. And, the tutors will finish out the week with a Wii tournament and pot luck on Friday evening.  Please stop by, thank a tutor, and see why the Learning Center is a great place for students!
Thanks A Latte
Would you like a free latte? If so, donate $5 or more to the United Way campaign and you will receive a gift card for one free latte at the Bookstore. Don't worry if you have already donated, you will still received a card. Dean Schaffer, along with the bookstore, are offering this as an extra incentive to give this year. It is the Dean's way of saying 'Thanks!' Don't forget to turn in your pledge forms to Scott Karaffa to receive your free latte and to be entered into the prize drawing.
