environmentally friendly is important to Grainger," said Doug Coleman,
Branch Manager of Grainger's St. Louis

solutions to help them achieve the sustainability goals."
Grainger is determined to set a new MRO standard
for sustainable operations. From adopting LEED for new branch construction to
participating in recycling programs, the company is helping to preserve natural
resources in the communities where it does business.
"We're proud to be a green
partner in the St. Louis community and look forward to continuing to help our

USGBC-STL Sponsor Profile: William B. Ittner
|
|
For over 110 years Ittner has
been committed to sustainable design. In the 1900's Ittner developed
sustainable design standards that continue to be used today, including daylighting
and natural ventilation to improve the environments of buildings. Daylighting created light wells and monumental stairs to bring natural light
into the building. Natural ventilation systems pulled fresh air from the
exterior, through the corridors, into chases, then out through chimneys
specifically designed to exhaust air. Currently Ittner is using today's
technology and green products to reduce carbon footprints, increase stormwater
filtration and daylight harvesting, recycle rainwater and use recyclable materials.
Thanks to Ittner for their support of USGBC-STL through Gold Chapter Sponsorship!
