Pocket
Great product, creative thinking and an amazing team led to the success of the first Pocket order in the country. An order for 46 carts has been placed by a major healthcare organization in Missouri, and they are awaiting their arrival in late November.

The client asked Kelly Hardy and Paige Solomon, of Color-Art Integrated Interiors, to provide 3 different carts for a mockup that would allow the caregiver an area for paperwork and med prep within the patient room. With 2 other manufacturers already identified as possible solutions, Kelly and Paige previewed the Pocket at Neocon and knew it would be an ideal solution. The question then became how to get the Pocket to the client in time for the mockups when there were only a few prototypes.  After first trying to purchase a seat for it on a Southwest Airlines flight, the team settled for meeting halfway between Chicago and St Louis to transport the Pocket.

An evaluation of the 3 carts was done by the nursing staff.  No presentations were allowed.  Pocket won hands down!
The comments validated the research behind the Pocket.  Ease of use, specifically the height adjustment and the pull, quiet movement, and simple design were a few of the comments that came back. The staff really liked the design of the pull and also felt that there was less of a "tip factor" on the Pocket. When comparing the Pocket to the competition it was quite clear that the Pocket was designed specifically for healthcare, while some competitors were deemed "too bulky" or "too commercial looking".

A willingness to literally drive the extra mile helped make this Pocket win a reality.

Flip-It Program Success in Oklahoma

Paul Glavas of Scott Rice Oklahoma, with the help of Area Healthcare Manager Libby Larson, was able to utilize Nurture's Flip It program to the tune of $3,600 - just for helping a Nemschoff customer switch to Nurture products.
Sieste sleeper
Saint Francis Health System of Tulsa, Oklahoma, recently put in an order of 41 Sieste Sleeper sofas, a product which matched the project better and had a better price point then the Nemschoff alternative. Also, according to Paul, the Sieste better coordinated with other products in the area, and he credits his 10 year working relationship with Saint Francis as crucial to the sale. Great job Paul, and congrats on your Flip It payout!
