Sonata Product Update

Here at Nurture we have been working hard to continue to add benefits and features to our products.

The expanded selection of modules provides more combination possibilities with a smaller footprint, allowing Sonata to create a custom solution tailored to a clinic's needs. Check out a video running through Sonata's benefits on the Nurture blog!

United Way Day of Caring

On Friday, September 10, a contingent of Nurture's Grand Rapids, MI team celebrated the United Way Day of Caring by volunteering at Casa de la Paz, a transition house for homeless mothers and their children.

 Nurture and United Way
Casa de la Paz strives to affect positive social change by providing permanent housing, teaching skill-building courses, and offering
behavioral health and counseling programs for eventual independent living. From scrubbing floors to cleaning out the shed, the team dug in and volunteered their elbow grease and enthusiasm for a great
cause.

Check out a video from the day on Youtube!

The Sound Sleep Study

A recent study conducted by The Center for Health Design in conjunction with Harvard connected noises experienced by patients in typical healthcare environments with significant sleep disruption.

Standard hospital sounds, like human voices, rolling carts, and IV alarms, were all found to disrupt sleep, an effect which makes the healing process even more difficult.

This puts a premium on medical equipment that can do its job while remaining silent. Read more on the Nurture Blog!

HealthTrust University Conference

Las Vegas, NV - HealthTrust Purchasing Group is a group purchasing organization supporting nearly 1,400 not-for-profit and for-profit acute care facilities, as well as ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices and alternate care sites. Interior Design Services (IDS) of Brentwood, TN, is the authorized vendor for furniture for HPG members.
HPG Show

The IDS booth at the vendor fair was the hot spot of the exhibit hall at the MGM Grand Conference Center. Elvis was on hand to greet the attendees and offered photo ops as a keepsake of their experience at the IDS booth at the conference. HPG members were lined up to meet Elvis and while waiting they could interact with the Nurture products on display. Elvis had a backdrop of the Folio, complete with a solid surface top and sink. The counter was a "real" setting, complete with tongue depressors, cotton balls, bandaids and swabs.

Nurture's Sync was the forefront of the space, acting as a greeting station. Sync was set up with two monitors mounted to Slatwall,  thus freeing up the horizontal surfaces for maximum work surfaces. Sync allowed ample space for displaying the participants photos with Elvis.  Lots of collaboration was conducted at the Sync station while attendees and IDS representatives chatted about project opportunities.

Pocket proved useful for many purposes in the space.  "Versatile", "quiet", "intuitive" and "sturdy" were words used by the attendees as they interacted with Pocket.  The casters were an "ahhh" factor for the driver of Pocket.

"The recent HPG show generated interest from potential new clients and many requested follow up appointments and literature.  It just doesn't get better than a client asking for follow up information," says Nurture Independant Representative Lu Ross. "The take away for the client was a photo of them having fun in the IDS booth. The photo had a backdrop of Nurture's Folio product with artwork, which also included IDS's logo and contact information. The photo will serve as a constant reminder for the attendee of the HPG conference in Vegas, the Nurture product and the dealer."

Nurture Exhibits at Metrocon 2010 in Dallas

Nurture exhibited at the Metrocon 10' Expo and Conference at the Dallas Marketplace in Texas. For the eighth year in a row, interior designers, architects, design students, and other design industry members in the Southwest took advantage of this premier two-day event, which focuses on introducing the latest in product and innovative ideas.

Metrocon 10' attracted over 250 diverse manufacturers and service-oriented companies as exhibitors. Attendees were exposed to a multitude of cutting-edge products (everything from the newest in soft- and hard-surface flooring, open office systems furniture, upper-end casegoods, advanced acoustical applications and security measures to the latest in window treatments for both home and business) and valuable services (from consulting to project management). The total attendance was over 3,000 during the two-day show.

At this year's conference Nurture featured a Pocket cart, Sync 72" workspace with two Amia chairs, Folio casegoods, Davenport casegoods and a Cura recliner. Several key customers stopped by including Parkland Hospital, Baylor Healthcare, and Dallas VA along with our key designers from the healthcare community. Steelcase dealers also came in from a five state area.
