Nurture Impresses at Kaiser Show in Anaheim
Anaheim, CA - Nurture by Steelcase exhibited at the recent Kaiser Permanente National Facilities Services Design Standards & Guidelines Symposium in Anaheim, California. Kaiser Permanente anticipated approximately 55 exhibitors and over 500 attendees. Exhibiting at a Symposium is a great opportunity to interact with Kaiser Permanente project teams, architects, contractors and both clinical and plant services staff. The Symposiums also include all of Kaiser Permanente's standards - NSA, furniture and medical equipment.
Kathleen Lapidus, Nurture Area Healthcare Manager, represented Nurture at the Symposium and was very pleased with the turnout and response to our products. It was the highest show attendance since the start of the Symposium. The Nurture booth featured Sync, Verge, Folio, Amia, Think, Mineral recliner, Cura, Sieste and Malibu seating. Nurture paired with dealer partner Tangram to host the booth, and received crucial support from Kevin Schmidtbauer of Steelcase Inc., and also Designtex and Details.

Nurture Honored by Amerinet
This year Nurture by Steelcase is being honored by Amerinet, a GPO in St. Louis, with the "Excellent Performance - Manufacturer under $25 Million in Amerinet Sales Volume Award" at their annual conference in May. Nurture earned the award by experiencing over 20% volume growth over the previous year, being a contract price leader in the Amerinet contract, and by addressing and resolving Amerinet and member questions immediately and successfully.
Nurture's Area Manager, Megan Burraston, has had a close relationship with Amerinet for years as she looks to grow her business in her 5 state territory and help develop similar relationships between Nurture and Amerinet teams throughout the country. "Amerinet Representatives have been instrumental in me closing some key business over the past few years. They have opened up doors to healthcare accounts by doing joint calls where Steelcase/Nurture was not known. They are a great group of people to work with and when you look at it we are after the same thing - growing our business", says Megan.
To continue on with this success each area should consider some best practices that are taking place around the country. Some great relationships have been made with the Amerinet Representatives covering the same territories. Organizing a lead exchange meetings and making joint calls on some key Amerinet accounts will only help strength our position not only with the Amerinet but with these organizations that religiously purchase from this GPO.
Work with your Nurture Area Healthcare Manager as they will be receiving maps and contact information from Amerinet to help jump start this process.

Nurture Continues to Build Presence in Middle East
The Hospital Build Middle East Exhibition and Congress, June 1st-3rd in Dubai, was a success over 12 months in the making for the Nurture Middle East team. The goal of the Hospital Build was to bring together experts in the various sectors of healthcare design and construction, and foster collaborations and discussions on how to best bring controlled, safe healthcare environments to the burgeoning Middle East healthcare market.
Nurture, led by Paulo Carmini, Nurture's Director of Regional Sales in the Middle East, went into the show with three defined areas for success: increasing Nurture's brand awareness in the Middle East, solidifying Nurture's presence with its target audiences, and the generation and cultivation of new leads and relationships. In all three cases, Carmini reported exceeding expectations based on the feedback collected and customers and designers requesting Nurture's presence at next year's show.
Phyllis Goetz, Nurture's Global Director of Architecture and Design, spoke at the show as well, presenting to a packed house on the benefits and practicalities of Evidence-based design.

Casegoods play a primary role in the patient room, providing not only function, but creating ambience for the space. Nurture is introducing four new casegood product lines to compete effectively in this important area, with a wide variety of choices that provide the solution for any patient-centered environment. The many options for drawer and door pulls, base and top design, finishes and other features, along with the increased ability to respond to special and custom requests, allows the updated Nurture casegoods portfolio to work effectively in meeting the needs of the patient, partner-in-care, and caregiver. Two current product lines will remain in the portfolio to complete the range of offering: · Davenport - transitional style · Viridian - contemporary
