Product Environmental Profiles (PEPs) have been created for numerous Nurture products to provide the recycled content and the recyclability of the products as well as outline the possible contributions to different LEED programs.
PEPs are now available for: Aspekt, Cura, Cypress, Opus Modular Casegoods, Opus Bedside Table, all Outlook seating lines, Sonata, Sorrel, Sync, and X-tenz. These new PEPs can be found on Nurture.com with the associated product -- also available on Nurture's In2 site in the product section or on the In2 Environment site which houses PEPs for all Steelcase products. |

Modular Solutions at Work in Canada
Calgary, AB - The vibrant, growing and diverse community in Calgary's core received a major health care boost with the April 1 opening of the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre.
The 300,000 square foot, eight-storey Centre will provide a variety of community-based programs and clinics that will serve those who work, live and visit downtown. The Centre includes urgent care, diagnostic imaging, laboratory Services, and a wide variety of community health services.
Urgent care is for patients with unexpected health concerns that are not life-threatening but which require same-day treatment such as sprains, lacerations, asthma, mental health crises, dehydration, pain and infections.
Designed for 65,000 patient visits per year, the approximately 800 staff will also provide over 27 different clinical and community health services, from Home Care, to Mental Health, to Renal Dialysis. What that means is patients can now come to one place to access services where before they had to go to four or five different buildings.
Steelcase Dealer RGO Office Products Partnership built on their tremendous experience in providing solutions to Calgary's Health System by supplying all the needs of the new health centre.
The dealer teams worked closely with the project team, participating in all construction, design, installation and delivery decisions. They advised on the best product solutions to meet the needs of the clinical facilities, the administration staff, and the overall budget.
By working with the broad Nurture and Steelcase portfolios, RGO was able to position a whole range of products for the project team, and allow them to select the best choices for the aesthetic and functional requirements.
A unique feature of the design was to include as much modular, movable product as possible, often in place of traditional millwork. This has resulted in much more flexibility for the staff to make changes over time.
This approach has proven so successful, the Health System planners have made modular components a mandatory feature of future projects.
