Jet Trip Brings Opportunity for Sonata
Evansville, IN - Julie Williams (Corporate Design, a Steelcase Dealer) with Jeff Fredrickson (Nurture, Area Healthcare Manager) scheduled a jet-trip for client, Deaconess Hospital, with the primary objectives of learning more about their upcoming tower project, expose the group to Nurture, and begin discussions on a long-term agreement. However, over dinner it was learned that Deaconess was building two new Oncology clinics and was seeking guidance on the design of these facilities.
The next day's agenda was quickly adjusted to provide a more comprehensive overview of Sonata and how its flexibility makes it the perfect solution for oncology settings. After additional collaboration with Deaconess' design firm (Hafer & Associates), multiple renderings, and design/specification support, Nurture was awarded this business.
The rationale for the award stemmed from our products' inherent flexibility, our willingness to aid in design/specification of the space, and the positive patient experiences that will be possible due to the new space. The first Deaconess Oncology clinic is currently installing and features Sonata modular casegoods, Sync caregiver stations, Montage spine panels, and Mineral treatment recliners. |
Table Collection Consolidation
The Outlook and Dune collections of tables have been consolidated under the Outlook collection. Minor design changes have been made to drive consistency in dimensions and aesthetics. The tables have been assigned new style numbers for easy identification.
All changes have been included in the September release of the Nurture Volume 1 specification guide. As a result of the consolidation and low volumes, some tables have been culled - see separate announcement on culling (below).
FOE is 9/21 and FMAD is 10/19 for the new style numbers. Last OE for the existing style numbers is 9/21 and last MAD is 10/16.

Due to low volume and to reduce complexity in our table offering, Nurture is culling some freestanding and interconnecting tables with a Last Order Entry of September 20, 2009 and a Last Ship of October 19, 2009.
