Nurture Opens New York City
Healthcare Showroom
"We've always had a limited amount of healthcare product in our New York showroom spaces, but this is really the first full-fledged Nurture showroom," said Libby Ferin, Director of Experience Marketing for Nurture. Mitra Recliner Now on Mineral Platform
 Beginning July 20, the Mitra recliner will transition to the same steel frame and recline mechanism that is used on Mineral. By moving Mitra to a platform frame and mechanism, we are able to achieve the following objectives: · The steel frame improves the long-term strength and durability of the Mitra recliner
· Reduced the overall footprint by 3" in depth and 2" in width while maintaining the same seat width and depth for the user
· Reduce the list price of Mitra by over $200
· Provide a common platform for new features and enhancements to be added to both Mineral and Mitra
Aesthetically, the contoured arm panel that is unique to Mitra will remain the same. The rest of the unit, however, will be changed to the Mineral style which provides the benefit of the scalloped footrest, 4" locking casters and a seat and back construction that consists of elastic web straps connected to the steel frame to provide additional comfort and support.
A new style number, SC6091, has been created for Mitra with a FOE of July 20 and a FS of August 31. This new style number will default to a wood armcap with a plastisol arm cap available as an option. The three existing style numbers (SC6170, SC6170W and SC6170P) will remain active through the September 21 ecat at which time they will be culled.
