Nurture, Best of Show NeoCon 2009

Healing Environment for the Treatment Eating Disorders
St. Louis Park, Minnesota -- Park Nicollet Melrose Institute is a care provider dedicated solely to treating eating disorders. Laurie Pepper and Karen O'Connell of General Office Products were called upon to assist in designing Park Nicollet's new 67,000 sq. ft. facility. The new building includes a 30-bed inpatient unit, nine residential beds, a resource center for self-directed research, a healing garden and the capacity to care for more than 1,300 patients.
Key to their successful design was creating a healing environment with residential warmth where patients feel comfortable and safe. Consultation rooms offer soft finishes like cherry wood-grain laminates on Cesar casegoods. Family waiting areas provide familiar and inviting furniture. Solid-surface stone on Montage Nurse Stations contributes to the natural atmosphere. This beautiful new facility opened its doors in March of 2009.

New Headboard and Footboard Sizes
Nurture's headboard and footboard offering has been expanded and reorganized. Style numbers have been created for Plain Panel, Crown Molding, and Notch Detail headboards and footboards in twin, double, and queen sizes for both laminate and wood versions to complement and coordinate with any casegood line. Also, double and queen versions have been added to the existing Davenport, Preference, and Viridian headboard and footboard collections. The existing and new headboards and footboards can be found in the new Accessory section of the Casegood Spec Guide along with mirrors, platform beds, and keying.
