 Designed to Attract and Retain
Lawton, OK -- Lane Hooten, CEO- Comanche County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) and Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma (CCSO) was challenged with creating an entirely new environment to attract and retain patients and staff. A significant portion of the Lawton market was traveling to larger cities in Oklahoma for treatment. CCMH/CCSO was also losing employees to competitors offering more efficient and pleasant work environments. Libby Larson (Nurture) and Chuck Lawrence of Scott-Rice (dealer) organized a visit to the Nurture showroom in Grand Rapids Michigan with Lane and CCMH/CCSO facilities personnel. Impressed by what he experienced, Lane requested WHR Architects and Scott-Rice (dealer) collaborate to design a space that offers patients a holistic healing environment, employees a desirable workplace and CCMH/CCSO the ability to expand its cancer treatment program. As a result of that customer trip and subsequent design, twenty-five thousand square-feet of Administrative, Consultation, Lab, Treatment and Waiting area is scheduled for installation, December 2009.
