2U MOVIE NIGHT (a.k.a. Movies with Meaning)
|
| Chunking Express
Join the 2U Young Adults Friday, July 23rd at 6:30 p.m. for a viewing
of Wong Kar Wai's 1994 film Chungking Express, comprising adjacent love
stories set in the "urban jungle" of the Chungking Mansions development
in Hong Kong. Impacting others by their choices in ways they cannot
foresee, the characters of Chungking Express go to great lengths to
create meaning for themselves as they pursue love amidst the chaos of
their everyday lives.
Chungking Express is the film that introduced the West to Wong Kar Wai,
made Quentin Tarintino cry, and earned 96% on the tomato meter. Watch
it, and you will never look at canned pineapples the same again.
Movie night will be hosted again by 2U resident cinephile Margaret
Redlich at her home in Rogers Park (6439 N. Newgard, 3D). RSVP
by phone or email (217-341-6106, mredlich21@gmail.com).

like. Attending an orientation is one
prerequisite for formalizing membership at 2U. So, whether you are a
