Multi-Generational Worship Update
by Gabrielle Parra I would first like to thank all of you who took the time to fill out our survey on multi-generational worship. We had 75 respondents, and have learned a lot about what our community sees for our next generation of multi-generational worship. You also had some great ideas and suggestions on how to involve children into the worship life of the church. We have also had some people offer to help us vision and craft multi-generational worship, for which we are truly grateful. So what is next? Look for an article in the March 1 edition of the Anvil that will include details about that we learned from the survey, as well as a link to the survey results. We will also have some information on ways that we will be including children in worship beginning in March. Thank you for your honesty, suggestions and ongoing support. |

Membership Services and Business Directory
Second Unitarian
Church is compiling a Service
Directory of business and services that our members provide. This 2U "yellow pages" will be a resource for
members to utilize when searching for a service provider. Whether you're a photographer or plumber, an accountant
or artist, we encourage you to submit your service offerings. You don't need to own or work in a business -
freelancers are welcome to participate. All
members of your household are encouraged to contribute, including youth who
offer services such as babysitting or yard work or a partner who is not a member him or herself.
Inclusion in the directory is free. You can submit a form on our website at http://www.secondunitarian.org/service_directory_submission/ or pick up a form at church during February. If you have questions, please contact Lisa Todd, Membership Coordinator at secondunitarian@att.net or 773-549-0260 x11.

A Prayer for the Current Financial Situation Spirit of Life, we live in disturbing days:
across the world,
prices rise,
debts increase,
banks collapse,
jobs are taken away,
and fragile security is under threat.
Loving God, meet us in our fear and hear our
prayer:
be a tower of strength amidst the shifting
sands,
and a light in the darkness;
help us receive your gift of peace,
and fix our hearts where true joys are to be found.
Amen. |
