Wow! Where has summer gone?
It seems like yesterday we were
planting our vegetable gardens and pumpkin patch - now Labor Day is
just around the corner.  Our summer was crazy busy with over 50 student volunteers in the mill everyday and we've been swamped with orders as local kids gear-up for back to school and winter. Photos from our summer are here____________________________________________________ |

WANTED: Kid's things
 GENTLY USED: Our supply of boy's pants is almost out of stock - in all sizes, especially elementary age boys. We also need books, toys, shoes, sneakers and coats. We're low on baby safety items; strollers, pack and plays, safety gates and high chairs.
NEW: Underwear and socks in all sizes, child toothbrushes, toothpastes, school and craft supplies and birthday presents.

NEEDED: Adult Volunteers.
We have been overwhelmed with orders as kids gear up for back to school. We're looking for adults to help us fill orders - in the mornings when kids are in school. From 9am to Noon.
We're also looking for a few SPECIAL and very, very, very PATIENT adults for afternoon shifts to work with kids after school from 2 to 5pm.

REMEMBRANCE: 10th Anniversary of 9/11
Saturday, September 10-11, 2011  This year is the 10th anniversary of September 11th, 2001. Join the City of New Bedford in paying tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11 by volunteering your time and talents! Spend your morning cleaning up the city's streets and public places and join volunteers afterwards at Custom House Square for food and refreshments. More here |
