A reception for Miss Mississippi, Mary Margaret Roark, was held on August 12th, at the BPAC.  There was a meet and greet from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. and she performed in the main auditorium. Invitations were sent to Chamber members and friends and family of the Roark's.

The Heritage Commission is planning to add to the decorative street signs putting them in part of the proposed residential historic district.

 

New business are:  The Starving Musician on Cotton Row and Goodie's in Cleveland Shopping City.

 

Octoberfest:  Sponsor request letters have been mailed and some businesses have responded.  The event is October 14th & 15th this year.  Most Chairs are in place.

Mission Statement

 The Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of advancing the civic, commercial, industrial, economic, social, and general interest of the people of Cleveland and Bolivar County.  It shall encourage the growth of existing industries and businesses while giving all proper assistance to any new firms or individuals seeking to locate in Cleveland and Bolivar County. This organization will support all those activities believed to be beneficial to the community and the area and will oppose those which might be detrimental. And in general, the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce shall follow always those policies intended to accomplish the greatest good for the greatest number.
