Distributor News...January 2009 Welcome to the first 'distributor only' news letter for 2009.  Designed to complement our Ezine that is sent to 7500+ Trio contacts, we hope this communication will offer useful information to assist distributors in selling and supporting Trio products.  This year we all have to continue to work together to build on previous successes and win new business; so if you need any assistance from Trio to achieve sales whether it is for a standard product or a customized solution then please do contact us.  Also, if you have any suggestions that may help to generate more sales please let us know.  Many of you realise that an opportunity exists during a downturn to gain new business from End Users currently specifying expensive PLC solutions.  An example of this was highlighted in our last Ezine and we are very keen to promote similar application stories if you send them to us. We are determined to maintain Trio's position as a leading motion control manufacturer by producing innovative, high quality products, by constantly improving and enhancing them, and by offering the highest levels of customer support possible.   We hope that you will work with us to achieve this aim and I wish you a very successful 2009!   Roy Bamforth Sales Director Support and System Software...   The main www.triomotion.com website contains all released versions of system software and programming tools. These are all freely available to any registered user of the site (registration is free and easy). Distributors have access to the very latest development versions of software and these include the latest bug fixes, new features and support for the latest controllers. You can pass these versions on to customers if they require them for use of a new function or to simply use them in-house to experience the latest Trio functionality. Please remember that the development versions are not completely tested and the functionality may change before the next full release version. Some programs do not have a full installer, in this situation a Technical Bulletin will be included in the .zip file detailing how to get the new version functioning.   Current development versions that may be of interest include the following: Motion Perfect 2 version 2.4.0.13 - Includes Euro209 and MC464 functionality CAD2Motion version 1.0.3.669 - New features, tool offsets and many bug fixes TrioPCMotion version 2.5.0.0 - Faster and more accurate than old versions with some new features   We welcome feedback on all our products, if you have any comments on current functionality or want to request new features please email triotech@triomotion.com. Five tips to help you with the Trio web site... The distributors area on the website allows access to information and files not avaliable to non-distributors. To log on, click "Log In" on the left hand side navigation bar. Once your email address and password is filled in, and you have contacted Trio to activate your Distributor status, you can click on the "distributor Area" highlighted in red in the log in pannel. This will take you to the distributor page. As well as the Support and System Software mentioned above, the Media Centre can be accessed from the distributors area. The Media Centre offers images that can be used on your own web site. From the left hand navigation pane, click on Sales...Events Calendar  to see the latest events and exhibitions. If you wish to add an event to the Trio web site that you will be attending, please email the details to mkennelly@triomotion.com. From the left hand navigation pane, click on Software Tools... Software Tools Overview  to gain a comprehensive review of all the support software Trio offers. Each programme can be downloaded from here too if you are logged on.
