New Euro209 motion controller availableEuro209 moption controller

We are pleased to announce the launch of our latest Motion Coordinator Euro 209.  The Euro 209 motion controller supports up to 8 axes of stepper or servo on a single Euro card format.  With onboard 10/100 base-T ethernet port, CAN port and 8 high speed registration inputs as standard, this is the ideal choice for an OEM requiring higher axes counts, with flexible communication options.

More details

New TIMER function to fire outputsTimer switch
Have you ever wanted to set an output ON or OFF for a fixed period of time without holding up program execution to achieve this?  The TIMER command allows an output, or a selection of outputs to be set or cleared for a pre defined period of time. There are 8 timer slots available, each can be assigned to any of the first 32 outputs.
New price list Pricelistreleased effective June 2008
Due to new product releases and changes in material costs since our last price change in 2005, it is necessary to review and update our  price list.  The new price list is now available and will be effective from 2nd June 2008.

Tangential motion is easy to programTangential Knife
When programming an XY positioning system, sometimes it may be necessary to maintain a 3rd axis in alignment with the current vector direction of the motion.   This can be achieved by using the TANG_DIRECTION command to determine the current vector direction and then using the return value in the MOVETANG command to align the 3rd axis to the vector.  Applications include tangential knife cutting and measuring stylus control.
Backlash compensation command added
BacklashWhen a device is driven through a gearbox or other mechanical conversion system, such as a lead screw, there is a small mechanical error introduced into the system.  This error is not measured by the encoder on the back of the motor, but may need to be reduced to increase system accuracy.  The new BACKLASH command allows the programmer to add corrective moves every time the DPOS direction changes.  You can configure distance, acceleration and speed of the applied compensation.
