As you may have noticed, the Niner family of bikes and components is growing - most recently with the addition of our flagship racing hardtail, the Air 9 RDO. We thought we would take a minute to talk about how these families of Niner products line up.
RDO - BEST OF THE BEST
RDO indicates Niner's top of the line options - these bikes and components are our best products and are designed with the competitive rider in mind. Whether your race has a full field or is a Strava record, RDO (Race Day Optimized) bikes will take you there first.
At the top of the Air 9 family you will find the Air 9 RDO - our lightest carbon frame with geared specific details. In our Jet 9 family, you will find the Jet 9 RDO, a fast, light and capable, 100mm full suspension bike. In our components, you can select a full range of RDO options in fork, seatpost, stem and handlebar. Each bike is designed with all the details a rider might want, and the components are specified to meet the exacting standards of the RDO rider, all with the C5 warranty.
CARBON - VERSATILITY & LIGHT WEIGHT
Our group of frames and components at the Carbon level offer versatility to our riders. At this level you will find cockpit options to match our Air 9 Carbon CYA frame. Our original carbon frame, this option can be run as a singlespeed or a geared bike and is built with both lightweight and durability in mind. The same can be said for our carbon components - pair the Air 9 Carbon with the Niner Carbon fork, our classic Flat Top 9 Carbon Bar and matching Niner Carbon seatpost, all built to match perfectly. These options also feature Niner's C5 Warranty.
ALLOY - PERFORMANCE
Our alloy options are near and dear to our hearts - we invest asignificant R&D into the development of hydroformed alloy bikes like our Jet 9, and components like our original Flat Top 9 alloy handlebar. Look for the Jet 9 for a great XC full suspension option and the Air 9 for the best alloy hardtail in our fleet.

We have updated our classic Niner sweater for the new season. Now with zippered side pockets and a slightly heavier wool, this is a great choice for spring riding and coffee stops. Unisex fit is great on both men and women and the merino wool stays fresh longer than synthetic fabrics. Add a bit of functional style to your rides!

NOTICE: NINER ORANGE JET 9 RDO - SOLD OUT FOR SEASON
A little housekeeping in the inventory department - we have reached the end of the Orange Jet 9 RDO frames for the season and will not be taking any more orders for this color. We are still taking orders for the Arctic White and Licorice Black options. Folks with Niner Orange frames on backorder will not be affected by this - your frames are still accounted for, so don't worry!
If you have your heart set on a Niner Orange Jet 9 RDO, our advice is that you should find a dealer with one in stock, ASAP - when they are gone, they are gone!

For our technical feature this month we want to cover everything! Well, actually just your solution to everything - Niner Technical Help and Customer Service - there lots of ways to help you get the most out of your bike.
What fork length can I run with my Niner? What size seatpost should I use in my frame? What is the shock length on the WFO 9? These questions and many like them can be answered in the Niner encyclopedia - a complete collection of information on all of our frames and programs.

For March - we figured we would combine our featured dealer with our community feature and head overseas...
For Chris Sugai, the big highlight of March was a trip to the Philippines to check out the mountain bike scene. Hosts Hans, Mannito and Benji from Gran Trail Cycles organized a lively weekend of riding, eating and meeting local riders.
"I really didn't know what to expect during my visit" said Chris. "based on all of the great pictures we get on our facebook page, I knew there were some Ninerds in the Philippines, but I had no idea how strong the love is in Makati City. It is hard to convey how much this means to me - to go halfway around the planet and see riders out on Niners having a great time - it is a huge for me and the rest of the Niner crew".

The two days included rides in La Mesa and the Tagatay Highlands - beautiful riding just outside Makati City featuring beautiful scenery in fields and forests - such a contrast to the USA southwest! "I think one of my favorite things was the riding food - sweet rice wrapped in banana leaves - when you were finished you could just toss the leaf - no litter! It wold be cool to see more of that approach in the USA!"
The big finale of the visit was an evening of great Philippines style food, a Q & A session and good, new friends, courtesy of Gran Trail. As a souvenir, all the riders signed a jersey for Chris and it is now a part of the permanent Niner archives!
