It is no secret that we at Niner love Stan's wheels. Not only is Stan's an innovator in tubeless, but they were also one of the first companies to truly embrace the Big Revolution. This is why when we decided to spec a complete bike version of our Jet 9, Stan's wheels were on the top of the list. In fact, this is how we spec any complete bike - we start with the essentials and make sure that we are able to stand behind our component selections in both quality and in value. For you, this means that there is now a really easy way to get a complete Jet 9, without the fuss of hand selecting every part - instead, you are able to take advantage of our work and spend your time riding instead of researching. The complete Jet 9 X7 is $3099. See your Niner dealer to get the complete details or to order!
Highlights include:
- NINER'S JET 9 FRAME IN RAW
- STAN'S ARCH RIMS, 32H W/ DOUBLE BUTTED SPOKES & ALLOY NIPPLES
- SRAM X7 AND TRUVATIVE STYLO THROUGHOUT
- ROCKSHOX REBA RL 29ER FORK
- CONTINENTAL RACE KING FOLDING TIRES
The Jet 9 has received high praise from reviewers. Read the complete reviews on our site.

Alchemy is one of those companies that we love. They have a great mission, manufacture in Seattle and make darn cool stuff. Niner has collaborated with Alchemy to produce a limited number of Pedal Damn it Messenger bags. 76% of the bag's make up is recycled materials (tubes from local shops, seatbelts from old cars). Even the zipper pull is an old valve stem. This is a great bag for riders who want something a bit different. Get yours in the Niner Store before we run out!
Features: A large messenger bag featuring an outside zippered pocket for easy access to your phone or MP3 player. A great commuter bag with a tiny ecological footprint.

When considering bike frame options, we often hear riders ask questions like "what headtube angle does this frame have?" or, "what is the seat angle?". While these are important numbers to consider, we would like to encourage you to step back and consider the whole frame when evaluating geometry. In fact, we would like to have you consider the whole bike build.
Think of bicycle geometry like you think of a cake. Cakes need flour, sugar, butter and eggs - if the chef alters the ratio, the taste and texture will vary. The same goes for bicycles - a frame designer that considers only one angle is creating a cake with only one ingredient in mind. It is essential that every tube length and every angle be evaluated in concert with the rest of the frame design and with the anticipated specifications of the complete bike in mind.
Now, there is room for variation in any recipe, and a good chef will know where they can have some fun with new ingredients. Perhaps one cake will contain chocolate, another might be made with carrots - everybody has a favorite. There is room for a lot of personalization in bike set up, too, but in the end, every bike still fits within a set of parameters that defines the geometry philosophies of the frame builder.
So, how does Niner geometry fit into this "cake" theory? Because we only build 29ers, we are able to make bikes in every flavor while everyone else is still learning how to turn on the oven. For every model, whether it is our lightest cross country hardtail or our burliest full suspension bike, we have considered how each angle or length will interact with big wheels to affect the finished build and in the end, how that finished build will affect the riding experience of every Niner owner.
The best way to evaluate any geometry is to ride the bikes. We know that in head to head comparisons, Niner's geometry will shine through.
Demo a Niner and see for yourself!

You may have noticed that we have added new technical documents on Ninerbikes.com.
1. Our geometry charts have been updated to reflect measurements with two different fork lengths for every Niner frame. This will make understanding how fork length affects your bike much easier.
2. We have elaborated on the specifications and tech data for every frame.
3. We have incorporated every Niner technical document into this book. No need to fish around for multiple PDF documents in order to assemble your new Niner.
4. We include information for Niner warranty as well as our crash replacement policy.
We will continue to add to the book, and will date the document each time we update it, so that you can be sure you are always working with the latest and greatest info. Download your copy here, or find it on our website on each bike page or in the downloads section.

We have a great crew of people who work to bring Niner Bikes to the world, and as a part of expanding the Niner community, we thought we would start making some introductions:
Introducing Eric "Full Service" Fosdick.
Our customer service guy and tech guru hails from Corvallis, Oregon where he grew up amongst the Beavers and Ducks. A recent transplant to Ft. Collins, he has quickly become everyone's best source for answers to their Niner related questions.
Not ony can Eric he troubleshoot, he also knows how to build frames. One of the most important things in his move was his welding equipment and it isn't unusual for him to make a frankenbike or two. We are going to do our best to get him to enter the Fruita Fat Tire criterium to show off his handiwork.
Eric's current bike of choice is the Air 9, which he says takes awesome to 11. "It is the perfect bike for our part of Colorado. I really like the Ft. Collins trails, and can't wait for the snow to melt so that I can explore some of the high altitude trails Colorado has to offer."
At work, the question Eric answers most often is related to fork length. "Folks want to know if they can run a 100mm fork on the Air 9, Air 9 Carbon, Jet 9, etc. The answer is, yes, it is great, you've got to try it. I am glad we now have our geometries listed with 2 fork options, so that people can see exactly how it will work out".

Ballwin Cycles is one of our newest dealers, and they have run a great version of our demo program all season. Here is what owner Mark has to say:
"Our store is located in Ballwin, Missouri - 20 miles west of St. Louis. We have been in business since 1994 and have been a Niner Demo Dealer for the past year. Our initial demo bikes included, a R.I.P. 9, a Jet 9, a S.I.R. 9, and 2 E.M.D. 9s. Since we are the closest shop in St. Louis to Castlewood state park -2 miles down the road and a mountain bike mecca for St. Louis- we have an ideal location for implementing this program. Little did we know how successful the Niner demos would be!
Niner's concept of designing 29ers from the ground up has proven to be immensely successful, and our feedback from demo riders backs this concept, as everyone always comments on how much better Niners ride compared to anything else on the market. By far our most popular model has been the Jet 9, which is perfectly suited for midwest cross country style riding/racing.
Our shop has always focused on service, and we have developed quite a reputation for custom wheel and bike building with 5 proficient wheelsmiths. I have personally been in the bicycle business since 1977 and have never seen this kind of dedication to a line by either the company or it's customers. We have multiple customers, who, after buying one Niner, have returned to buy another..."

Ride ON Bicycles is located in beautiful Greenville, SC - a great shop in a town with a strong bike culture. Owner Matt Rinella has this to say about being a part of the Niner Community:
"Ride ON Bicycles was created to serve the needs of cyclists on Greenville, SC's eastside. Greenville has amazing weather and a large cycling culture. We are minutes from some of the best mountain biking in the world in the North Carolina mountains. Ride On has been a Niner dealer and demo location since we opened in September 2009. We believe strongly in the 'bigger is better' idea and the Niner story. Most of the staff ride Niners so it is pretty easy for us to talk it's benefits.
We are a demo dealer because riding is believing. We are lucky to have some great single track at Paris Mountain state park in town. This gives the potential Niner owner a chance to go get one dirty - you just can't ride a Niner in the parking lot and understand. We see the 29 inch wheel as a permanent change in bikes, thus, we at Ride On expect to be a Niner dealer for a long time to come."
