>> HAMMER DON'T HURT EM.
Remember our infamous "hammer fork" video?
Atter abusing a carbon Niner fork with a ball peen hammer, we sent the very same component off to our testing facility and sent it through the same rigorous tests that our brand new forks undergo.
Niner forks are tested to the new European standards specifically designed for mountain bike use. To pass these safety standards the fork must undergo a load of 650 Newtons, both pushing and pulling on the dropouts for one hundred thousand cycles. Our hammer fork passed this test easily, so we kept going... and we upped the load. At 750 Newtons, the hammer fork passed another hundred thousand cycles, so we kept at it... and at it... In the end we were not able to get this fork to break until after three hundred thousand cycles! The Niner carbon fork tripled the most stringent bike product safety standard out there, after being beaten with a hammer! We would prefer that you didn't do this to your fork, but it is nice to know how tough these things really are.

>>TRAIL FIESTA
We have a lot of great trails close to our headquarters in North Hollywood, CA. CORBA, the Concerned Off-Road Bicyclist Association, is one of the big supporters of these trail systems and as such we do what we can to support them.
Recenty, CORBA held their annual Fat Tire festival, and to help out, Frank from Niner, and many other local shops and companies, gave their Sunday morning to visit the event. With bikes in tow, Frank answered questions and show some love for one of our area's most fervent trail supporters.
There are a number of great crews like CORBA out there. For those in the Southern California area visit the CORBA website. We encourage everyone else to find their local trail advocacy group and support their support of the trails we ride and love. Check the IMBA site for more info on your local options.

>> 24 HOURS OF MOAB REPORT
The Niner-Ergon team has had a great year. We just wanted to congratulate Rebecca and teammate Dax Massey on their Coed Duo National Championship at the 24 Hours of Moab! This was Rebecca's 2nd title this year and 4th overall. The team continues to impress us at every race! roll: is one of a new brand of dealers on board with Niner. They have a very straightforward concept they have been able to polish to a high sheen. If you are in the area check them out. "roll: was founded on a very simple idea. Riding a bike is fun, exciting, inspiring, and even life changing. Shopping for a bike isn't. We were left asking, how could something that inspires so much passion and enjoyment, be so complicated, confusing and difficult. We just didn't get it. So we set out with a clean sheet of paper, lots of questions starting with "why?" As well as a lot of ideas staring "what if?" Many late nights and light bulb ideas followed. From there we developed the core principles of roll: and founded our company on an unwavering approach to customer service that drives everything we do.
We wanted to find out from our customers why they ride not what they ride. We created an approach to ride wear that added an element of style for after the ride as well as performance for during the ride. Because I don't look very good in lycra. From there we added an absolutely unique collection of the best bikes, the best brands, the best accessories and the best apparel into the mix and roll: came to life.
