>> A GOOD, LONG TRADESHOW SEASON!
Whew we are back from the September show circuit - we met tons of great people and had nice reunions with old friends from far away.
We traveled first to Switzerland for some sweet singletrack riding with Simon from Mainstreet 42 Bikeshop. After some great riding, Steve, Brett and Chris had lunch and checked out the Swiss countryside. Life is grand, no?

From Switzerland, we headed to Eurobike - the largest bike show in the world. Thanks to Konstantine, our new Germany distributor, we had a great show! Stan, Cindy and Mike from No-tubes and Bill and Ellen from American Classic were sharing the booth and we all had a great time together. The show is open to the public on the last day, if you get a chance to go it is well worth it (bring your running shoes though, as the place is massive).

At Eurobike, we showed the first build of the new Air 9 Carbon, and had a chance to work with 29 Pollici on a quick video showing the features.
When we returned from Europe, we had a bit of time to prepare for Interbike and then packed things up and headed off to Las Vegas for the final show of the season. For this event, we were able to show 2 built Air 9 Carbon bikes - in both singlespeed and geared versions and in Tang and Vana White. There was a ton of interest in this bike and we anticipate having pricing and more detailed info in our next newsletter.

It isn't often we have most of the Niner crew in one place at one time. This year, we took advantage of the quiet time before the show opened and got a quick shot (below) so that you can put faces to names. From left to right James, Fuzzy, Dejay, Rebbeca, Steve, Alan, Tim, Chris, Mike Stanley, Brian, Mike Busch, Brett. We had a small crew at the office, so pics of Frank, Libby and Paula will have to happen some other time!

>>WIN A R.I.P. 9 & SUPPORT IMBA!
We talk about IMBA a lot at Niner. We feel you can't say enough good things about the organization and all they have done to keep all of us out riding on the dirt.
As a part of our support, we are happy to announce that Vince Amodeo of Vienna, VA was the big winner of a new Rip 9 frame during IMBA's membership drive held during Interbike in September. IMBA is very pleased with the drive, saying they brought in over 200 new members and in excess of 15,000 dollars. Every last bit helps IMBA, especially now when donations are down and institutions take advantage of people's focus being on the economy and not on trail development and preservation. Please think about supporting IMBA in any way that you can. Support those that support our passion.
We always encourage visiting IMBA's site and becoming a member. It is the best thing you could ever do for your trails! For more info or to join click on over to www.imba.com

>> CONTENDER BICYCLES
We get to hear a lot of nice things about our dealers. We have some of the best dealers out there. A super-satisfied customer just contacted us today about Contender! We are proud to have dealers like this that care about their customers.
"While Contender Bicycles has successfully carved out a niche as a top-level road shop, we also love to ride and sell mountain bikes. Our initial exposure to 29" bikes came with a couple of new employees who brought their passion for these big wheeled bikes from other areas of the country. Not long after that another company was doing some nice 29" hardtails that really cemented our feelings for these bikes. At Interbike, we were looking for something different to complement our current off-road offerings and found Niner to be the perfect fit. A few years have passed but we are still avid supporters of Niner and 29" bikes. Sure these bikes look great, but they are also a great fit for the trails we encounter along the Wasatch Front. The trail closest to "home" is the Bonneville Shoreline Trail and the Air 9 is about as good as you get for that ride. The old saying of "you'll sell what you ride" definitely holds true with the 29" bikes! Contender is also an avid supporter of Niner's involvement with QBP's Dreamcycle program. It takes a few extra days, but the competitive kit pricing and the wide range of parts makes this a great option. We think Niner is a great option and as all of the other brands jump on the bandwagon, their innovative position will only get stronger."

>> FREEZE THAW CYCLES
The guys at Freeze Thaw have been super hard at work lately. Just last week they moved into a new fancy shop. Jordyn really stepped up and got us this quickly for our newsletter despite the big move and still taking care of all of their customers. We have the best dealers!
"At Freeze Thaw Cycles we believe that bikes make the world a better place and our philosophy allows us to match the perfect bike and rider. Whether it's a commuter around our college town or someone with a race every weekend- we treat our bikes and our customers just how a bike shop should, with respect and consideration. We all ride ourselves and are more than willing to take a customer or two out to show off the trails we love so much in Rothrock State Forest. We feel like we've got some of the best singletrack in the world around here and we try to be the bike shop to match. Founded in 2004 by Jordyn Drayton and Justin Wagner while they were students at Penn State, Freeze Thaw has come a long, long way from the dining room of their college apartment to a shiny new three level space right smack in the center of downtown State College at 109 South Allen Street."
