JET 9 & R.I.P. 9 REVIEWS, AWARDS.
The Jet 9 was featured in the January issue of Mountain Bike Action. Many of you might have seen it already but the bike was hailed as a great trail bike as well as superb racer/endurance bike. read the entire review here.
The 2008 Rip 9 received honors as the top overall mountain bike of the year on Feed The Habit. Read their full gear of the year piece here.

>> NINER'S 2009 R.I.P. 9 NEWS
The
2009 Rip 9 is coming down the pipe. Steve put some final touches on the
frame, including a newly shaped top tube and removal of the
pre-production gusset and support brace on the top tube (the frames we
had at Interbike were still pre-production samples).
Through final testing and reshaping, the frame will be even
stronger, cleaner and lighter than those shown at Interbike.
Additionally, production frame welding will be neater.
On the
color option front we have great news - the frame will be available in
RAW! We've replaced the moondust grey with a raw finish to go with the
ano black and milk dud ano for '09.
This first run will be limited so find your favorite Niner dealer to set up a deposit/pre-order.

STEVE'S 24 HOURS OF MOAB:
>> My first 24 hour race, the 24 Hours of Moab, was an exhilarating experience with all the ups and downs of a classic wooden roller coaster. Conditions for the kick off were cold and windy, but the cast of characters prepared to start were more than willing to participate despite the sand storm blowing all around. My team was pumped, and even though we were in the 'Just for Fun' category, that doesn't mean it isn't fun to win. In one really long day, we each rode three laps, crumpled one 10x20 EZ-up tent, huddled against the biting cold, gave away some awesome burritos and beer to other Niner riders (it's never too cold for beer, right?), and came in second place in our 'Just for Fun' category. All in all, it was an amazing 24 hours filled with friends, fun, and enough drama to either make or break the bonds between friends, co-racers, and the great outdoors. Needless to say, I'm hooked. See you next year at the 24 hours of Moab! - Steve

NEW STUFF FROM NINER:
>> Our new Bio-Centric EBB is shipping soon. Pre-orders taken will be here the last week in January.
>> Our new carbon rigid fork is coming along nicely - the testing and design process is going very well. We hope to have more samples of the fork arriving shortly with photo shoot scheduled for February. A formal unveiling is scheduled for Sea Otter the second half of April. We are very excited about this and can't wait to share it with you!
