Social Sector Solutions Delivers High Impact Nonprofit Consulting
Eleven students teams delivered high impact consultations for nonprofit clients including Operation Access, Native American Health Center, and Marine Stewardship Council. Under the instruction of Nora Silver and Paul Jansen of McKinsey & Co., students created expansion plans, business plans, evaluation systems and marketing plans.

"The team did an amazing job. A resounding yes -- we will absolutely use it. We would have paid 100 times more that what we paid. We now have a good data-driven expansion plan," Scott Morgan, Founder, Education Pioneers.

Special thanks to the students, client nonprofits, foundation partners, McKinsey & Co coaches and course instructors for their many contributions and leadership.

We invite nonprofits to apply for the 2008-2009 Social Sector Solutions program by completing the application by August 15, 2008. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Please visit our website to view the application.
Berkeley Board Fellows     BBF logo
This year, 57 Haas MBA, Goldman Public Policy and Public Health students served on 50 nonprofit boards. Fellows served on boards of arts, environmental, youth, health and human services organizations including  Centerforce, Destiny Arts Center and Rebuilding Together. Fellows provided guidance on marketing, fundraising, finance and operations. The program develops students' governance skills so that they will be better prepared to serve and lead boards throughout their work life.

"I look forward to staying involved with the Board of SF Giants Community Fund even after the Board Fellows program formally ends," says Adam Skibley, MBA 2009.

Thank you to the Board Fellows for their service and to the nonprofit organizations for their mentorship.
