Giving Toys for Tots LIVE on ABC30!
Marathon Weekend Kicks Off This Friday at 5am
It takes 63 hours plus a whole lot of Marines, volunteers from United Way and a number one TV station to pull off a marathon weekend like this one! Toys for Tots Marathon Weekend kicks off this Friday, December 3rd at 5am with LIVE coverage only on ABC30.
The U.S. Marine Corps will be ready to go, with coffee in hand, collecting your donations of toys, cash and checks at River Park Shopping Center in North Fresno, and they're not going home until Sunday, December 5th at 8pm.
All weekend long, ABC30 will run messages asking the community to drop off new, unwrapped toys at any of the collection sites around the Central Valley. We're also encouraging the community to donate money. With their incredible buying power, the U.S. Marine Corps can turn that one-dollar donation into seven dollars!
ABC30 is proud to team up with the U.S. Marine Corps, United Way of Fresno County and our Children First Partners, Children's Hospital Central California, the Fresno County Office of Education and the Educational Employees Credit Union, on the Toys for Tots Marathon Weekend. Thanks to the United Way, local families have a simple number to call for toys: 2-1-1.
