the first of three AmeriCorp VIP Members here at
United Way of Fresno County, next up for you to meet is Cassandra Golding. Cassandra will be assisting in the forward movement of the Health Building Block.
Hello, my name is Cassandra Golding or Cassie and I was born and raised here in Fresno, Ca. I graduated from Edison High School, Class of 2003. After graduating I moved to Monterey, Ca and attended CSU Monterey Bay with a major in Marine Biology. My summers were spent here in Fresno as a lifeguard for the City of Fresno where I developed my love of educating while teaching swimming lessons. After 2 ½ years in Monterey, I changed my major to teaching and moved back to Fresno in the summer of 2006 to attend CSU Fresno, where I graduated with a B.A. in Liberal Studies in 2008. I then went on to earn a teaching Credential from Fresno Pacific University in the spring of 2010. I am new to the non-profit world, but I look forward to learning new skills and meeting new people!
We are pleased to welcome Cassandra and her kind-hearted personality to our team; we know she will fit in nicely here at United Way of Fresno County.
