38,741 Accounts Opened by Bank on Fresno Partner Financial Institutions! |

The Bank on Fresno All-Partner Meeting took place May 19, 2010, where Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Office announced that Fresno - Bank on Fresno partner financial institutions opened 38,741 accounts in just 5-reporting quarters.
This more than triples the original 2-year goal of 10,000 accounts. Congratulations to all coalition partners for a great job!
It is estimated that individuals and families will save $15,496,400.00 from check cashing and serving fees they would have paid, had they remained unbanked.
The Bank on California Initiative has opened more than 118,266 accounts; well over the Governor's original goal of 100,000 accounts.
