On Wednesday, March 10, 2010 the Walmart Foundation announced the arrival of the MyFreeTaxes.com national tour in Fresno County. The announcement was made at the United Way of Fresno County office in Fresno. The Walmart Foundation, United Way Worldwide, One Economy and the National Disability Institute's Real Economic Impact Tour have partnered to bring free tax preparation and filing services directly to consumers in Fresno County. The initiative will also help educate consumers and provide free preparation and filing for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), a federal income tax credit of which many are unaware. From now until Sunday, March 21, 2010, those residents earning less than $58,000 per year can visit the One Economy van located at United Way of Fresno County and file their taxes free of charge. Residents may also log on to www.myfreetaxes.com/centralvalley and prepare and file their taxes for free. United Way of Fresno County received a $35,000 grant from the WalMart Foundation to support One Economy; MyFreeTaxes.com; and EITC.

We at the United Way of Fresno County would like to thank you for your donations to the Haiti Earthquake Recovery Fund. $1,024.05 will be forwarded to the Central Valley American Red Cross Haiti Relief.
