| Highlight of the Week at UWFC -

On January 22, 2010 The United Way of Fresno County and their community partner Pelco held a press conference to release the first of three videos that tell the story of United Way's commitment to advance the common good in the areas of Education, Income and Health adopted by United Way's board of directors. These are the building blocks for a good life: a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health.
The video released, highlights a local volunteer, Cindy Ceja of Vulcan Materials Company Western Division. Cindy's commitment to a healthy lifestyle, and her involvement with the Women's Initiative made Cindy the perfect spokesperson for United Way's Health Building Block.
United Way of Fresno County's mission is to mobilize the caring power of communities to make long-lasting change and impact in community conditions. In doing so, United Way and community partners create opportunities for a better life for all by advancing the common good in the focus areas of education, income and health.
