| Highlight of the Week at UWFC -

|

78 Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers got up early this past foggy Saturday morning to attend an all-day VITA/EITC tax training at Heald College in Fresno. VITA volunteers will participate in three Saturday's of intense tax training to prepare themselves for the VITA/EITC Volunteer Program, which launches the season on Saturday, January 30, 2010.
VITA voulunteers will help staff 35 VITA sites throughtout Fresno County and prepare federal and state taxes for low to moderate income individuals and families at no cost. For more information, to find the nearest VITA site to you, or to find out if you qualify, just dial 2-1-1.

United Way of Fresno County will be holding a Press Conference in the Community Board Room at 10:00 am for the release of the first of three DVD's that the PELCO team has made on behalf of United Way's commitment to the 10 year goal to Advance the Common Good in the focus areas of Education, Income and Health.
