Health and Dental Care Providers Caring for Kids in Rhode Island

Dr. Daniel Kane, a pediatric dentist from the St. Joseph Pediatric Dental Center, and Dr. Carol Lewis, a pediatrician from Hasbro Children's Hospital, recently were guests on the Rhode Island KIDS COUNT TV Show. They discussed their work to keep children in Rhode Island healthy and ready to learn.
NBC-10 recently profiled Dr. Shreekrishna Akilesh's work to reduce early childhood dental disease. Dr. Akilesh also is a pediatric dentist from the St. Joseph Pediatric Dental Center.

Help for Working and Unemployed Families |
Rhode Island KIDS COUNT has updated its Help for Working and Unemployed Families resource to reflect the new federal poverty levels. The resource provides information about RIte Care/RIte Share, the Earned Income Tax Credit, child care subsidies, Food Stamps/SNAP and WIC.
