RIte Care Workshop Materials Available
On October 18, 2010, Rhode Island COUNT and the Poverty Institute co-sponsored our latest workshop: RIte Care: What's New and What's Ahead. Topics included updates on RIte Care eligibility for lawfully residing immigrant children, the "generics first" policy for children with special health care needs, and tips and resources for enrolling children and families in RIte Care. Information was provided on the changes in health insurance as national health reform is implemented in Rhode Island, with particular attention to provisions affecting children and families. Workshop presentations and materials are available online.

Q & A For Immigrant Families and Helpers

Rhode Island KIDS COUNT and the Poverty Institute have developed two new free resources that provide answers to frequently asked questions about RIte Care Coverage for Immigrant Children and Families. The Q&A for Helper Organizations and Q&A for Families are both available in English and Spanish and can be ordered using our RIte Care Outreach Materials order form.

New Reports on Medicaid in Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) recently released two reports: Rhode Island Annual Medicaid Expenditure Report, State Fiscal Year 2009 and the report, Designated Medicaid Information, an update on Rhode Island's Medicaid Global Waiver.
