Changes in RIte Care for Children and Families     
Rhode Island KIDS COUNT has prepared a summary of the budget provisions that will affect RIte Care for children and families, including restoration of coverage for lawfully residing immigrant children and the decrease in premium costs.
  
The provision to limit Medicaid payments for emergency room visits to 12 per year will be implemented for Medicaid clients over age 21 but will not apply to children.      
 
The health section of Rhode Island KIDS COUNT's Legislative Wrap-Up also includes information on the Global Medicaid Waiver, Medicaid benefits, RIte Care eligibility, and RIte Care premiums.
