Dear Residents and Fellows,

The Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, & Kansas (MINK) MidwestMD Physician Recruitment Network, is a non-profit organization that helps residents and fellows identify practice opportunities in the Midwest.  We realize that this may be the single most important decision in the near future, so we strive to assist you in finding your perfect fit. 

You asked for it and we provided it!  In a recent resident survey, you suggested that we discontinue the printed version of the MINK Link and provide you with a convenient monthly electronic newsletter.  We are proud to present our introductory issue!  We hope you find it useful and informative. 

We are also in the process of redesigning our website in an effort to make it easier for you to locate jobs in the Midwest.  We encourage you to visit www.midwestmd.org often to review the most current practice opportunities available.  The new website will be introduced in September.  However, you can find valuable information and current job openings on the website today! 

There are several Midwest Physician Job Fairs being held again this year.  Attending a MidwestMD or CareerMD Job Fair is a convenient way for you to visit with many organization-based recruiters in the MINK Network. 

Currently, over half of MINK's more than 60 member organizations have already made plans to attend one or more of the upcoming fairs.  We invite you, and your spouse, to attend these fairs and gather information about the practice opportunities available.  The Job Fairs are a perfect time to explore possible career opportunities, enjoy refreshments, register for great prize drawings, and talk to placement specialists in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. 

Please review the dates of the MidwestMD and CareerMD Job Fairs listed in the left column of this newsletter, mark your calendar for the MINK Job Fair nearest you, and plan on attending!
