From the Executive Director
Dear Chamber Members,
I would like to begin by thanking Jason and Amber Smucker of JLS Designs and Chester River Docks, and Dawn Stutton and the staff of the Rock Hall Yacht Club for hosting our Business-After-Hours on September 22 at the Rock Hall Yacht Club. We had a good turn-out and it was nice to see some of the Rock Hall business owners and meet some new contacts. JLS Designs and Chester River Docks did a great job organizing the event and the Rock Hall Yacht Club put out quite a spread for us. Everything was wonderful! Thank you!!
Please be sure to join us for our October Business-After-Hours Oktoberfest hosted by the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites this Thursday, October 13 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at 150 Scheeler Road in Chestertown. They have promised authentic German fare along with a taste of German beers.
On Thursday, November 10, Champion Realty will be hosting our monthly Business-After-Hours gathering at 1002 Washington Avenue in Chestertown.
If you have not attended one of these functions, these are great opportunities to come out and network with other business members and individuals. So if you're looking to get your business name out there and meet some fellow Chamber members, please be sure to join us and don't forget your business cards!
Lastly, the holidays will be upon us before you know it. We will be hosting a Holiday Gala in December and our annual Excellence in Business Awards in January. Look for details of both of these events along with nomination ballots for the Business Awards, coming to your mailbox soon.
In the meantime, enjoy this great fall weather and as always, thank you for being a member of the Kent County Chamber of Commerce, we appreciate your support.
Loretta Loretta
