You've probably wondered about your untapped
psychic ability. Someone confirms a feeling you've had about something. A dream you had plays out in your waking reality. You see the same
number all the time. Maybe you know who's calling before you check your caller id.
If
you've had any of these, or similar, experiences then your psychic
ability is calling you!
You may have stumbled upon one of those online questionnaires that are supposedly designed to help
you test your psychic ability. They ask things like; do you see things
out of the corners of your eyes, and, can
you guess what is on a card before you flip it. Some try to get you to score above average at guessing the outcome of tossed coins.
These tests are likely to have nothing to do with how you might experience your
unique and natural
psychic ability. They usually become set ups for failure.
Approach your psychic ability by acknowledging that you already have it. The real questions to ask the Universe are, what is the nature of your psychic ability? And, how can accessing it improve your life?
Can You Turn It Off? helps answer these questions. It's not a course of study. But rather, a fun, true story that reveals keen insights into what your psychic mind has to offer you.
I'll leave you today with five qualities that I consider essential to connecting with your sixth sense. Think of these as the foundation upon which you would build your psychic mind.
CURIOSITY
The whole psychic experience is a mystery. That's what's so exciting
about it! This journey will present you with a lot of questions. You must be
curious enough to explore them. And when the responses to your questions come out
as more questions, continue exploring them!
The hallmark of psychic ability is in synchronicity, where insights and
symbols come in the form of coincidences. Coincidences are designed
to peak your curiosity, to inform, and to guide. Consider the concepts you
intuit in your psychic process as teachings. Many of your psychic ideas and perceptions will be new to
you. You can't be the type of person to dismiss things. You have to be aware of,
and investigate, subtle experiences.
IMAGINATION
All psychic perceptions- be they visual, auditory, emotional, or of
any other type- come through your imagination. If you can't imagine something,
it can't exist! Whether you're planning a party, designing a chair, or working toward a professional goal five years from now, you must first envision it.
Cultivate your psychic ability by learning to become proactive with
your imagination. Let your imagination run freely! Be open, for the
Universe wants to surprise you. The more detailed you can be with your
imagination, the more clever the Universe can be in sending you relevant
psychic messages.
COMMON SENSE
Having a psychic vision does not mean you are a freak. It doesn't
make you unusual. And it does not mean you are possessed either. If, for
example, you repeatedly see 11:11, don't wig out about it! You have an internal
body clock, and it is aware of the time. It can be as simple as that. The experience
is reminding you that you have a "knowing mind" that is connected to your
surroundings. A common sense approach to your psychic mind will bring you to useful
insights; principles that can help you move forward in your spiritual path.
A POSITION OF NON-JUDGMENT
Psychic perceptions are easy to misjudge. You are often likely to
get information that is perplexing, or that you initially think is
irrelevant. Be willing to be wrong. You will open up to so much more that
way, for the Universe will be able to surprise you.
Your psychic perceptions are more likely to have symbolic, than
literal value. Receive the information that comes through your imagination
without bias, even if you feel it is irrelevant, silly or insignificant.
OPTIMISM
Psychic perceptions are
filtered through your emotions. Many people approach their own psychic ability
with negativity and fear. If you are an inspiring and optimistic person, your
psychic impressions will mirror your positive attitude. Use your psychic vision
to create a wonderful dream for yourself and you just might be surprised to
find a few elements from that dream appearing in your waking reality!
