Get Involved! Serve on YLS Leadership.

The YLS Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2011-2012 YLS Steering Committee. Members interested in getting more involved with YLS in a leadership capacity may nominate themselves or another YLS member to serve. For a description of roles and responsibilities for YLS Steering Committee members, please click here.

In order to be considered for serving in a leadership role with YLS, members must submit their name or the name of the nominee, contact information and a brief statement of interest. We will accept nominees through early February and nominations can be submitted by email to Whitney Sousa at wsousa@uway.org or fax to (803) 748-7284.

Questions? Please call Whitney Sousa at (803) 733-5419.

Thank you for helping YLS leave its mark in the community!
A group of YLS volunteers completely transformed the Family Shelter's multi-purpose room in less than 24 hours! YLS members and United Way staff teamed up with Brandon McIver, technical director at Trustus Theater, to design a mural to wrap around the Family Shelter's multi-purpose room. See below for pictures of before and after.

Special thanks to Brandon McIver for his support on this project as well as Home Depot, Sherwin Williams and Walmart for their contributions.
